Hello!!!
The final, beautiful, lovely finishing touch to this month's roll of guest art is this illustration by Katharine G! I love the brightness! The colours! The creature designs!! Katharine made this piece a wonderful blend of fantasy and adventure that I want to put in Vainglorious. This illustration was actually among the first I received but I liked its spirit of adventure so much, I thought it could only be placed as the tie in to Chapter 5!
If you hang out here in the comments section, you would have met Katharine (Kraziekazoo)! Katharine makes the webcomic
Humanish, an urban fantasy story about a group of friends trying to find and take down a troublemaker before things get too out of control in their town. It's got fun art, great facial expressions, and a very good balance of humour and emotion. If you like Vainglorious, you might find yourself interested in Humanish, so go give it a read!!

Thank you so much to Katharine, and every other guest artist who contributed their time and love to celebrating my comic's first year. It made me so happy to see my comic reinterpreted through your eyes!
And finally, today is actually the day: Vainglorious is 1 year old! It's incredible reaching here. It feels like it's been so long but also no time at all. I keep editing, drawing, writing, and thinking about this comic and it's so surreal to turn around and see how it's grown in this past year. I've met so many people, made so many friends, and gotten a handful of opportunities thanks to publishing this comic and I couldn't be more grateful.
So what that means is, this comic needs a big thank you section:
Thank you to my main editor,
Koi, for helping me beat the comic's script to pulp, and retrieve the final pages from the pile of destruction. Thank you to
Hiveworks for hosting and publishing this comic, for helping me with editing, site building, promoting, and believing in Vainglorious. Thank you to my family and friends who are constantly hyping me up and encouraging me to make comics (and who tell me their Vainglorious theories and bug me spoilers, it doesn't matter how much you try, you're still only going to know as much as people see on the main site!!)
And lastly, but most importantly, thank you to all you readers. Thank you for your comments, your jokes, your fanart, your edits, for sharing and recommending this comic to others. I get so much joy seeing you all enjoy and play with Vainglorious. I hope you can continue to enjoy it as we go on into the next chapters.
Thank you, once more, from the bottom of my heart for this past year. Here's to many many more.
