Hey!
Rei doesn't know the word for "scales" but when it comes to dragons in Vainglorious, their hair and scales are one and the same. Depending on a dragon's mood or natural state, the hairs on their body can shift and harden into scales, or loosen back into hair. Not sure if I'll ever find a space for that trivia in the main comic so that's a fun fact here for an otherwise bleak page.
